About Me

My photo
We have recently applied and been successful in getting jobs at 'Amano Christian' School in Chingola, Zambia. Since getting married we have been praying about the possibility of working abroad and we now feel the timing and opportunity is right. So what will we be doing? Jona is going to be teaching science and Kerry is going to be doing youth work amongst girls in the dorms. We will be leaving in September. We would love for you to keep up to date with what we're up to!

Home Sweet Home!

We arrived back in the UK on Easter Day after a verrry long 28 hour journey. We had an 8 hour stop over in Nairobi. But overall the journey was fine.
We both have had a bit of reverse culture shock- the choice of foods in the supermarkets has been pretty overwhelming! And the we are definately not used to this cold weather.
It was BRILLIANT to see Jona's Mum, Dad and brother and we spent our first week staying with them and visiting various friends.
We had our friend Helen down to stay for a few nights and had a great girly night with Helen and Vicky.

We had an excellent weekend in Oxford seeing family and friends and visiting churches in Cumnor parish. So nice to feel loved and supported by so many.

This week we are in Cornwall seeing my side of the family. Really lovely to all be reunited and also with Tanzina who is currently joining us on a few days stay in Falmouth. Totally trying to soak up every moment and enjoy this time as we know it will whizz by so fast!

Thanks to everyone who has donated different bits and bobs for us to take back, for kind words and all your support!
